A speech-language assessments or speech evaluation is a complex process. Assessing, describing, and interpreting an individual’s communication ability requires the integration of a variety of information gathered in the evaluation process.
Here are a few things to expect if you take your child in for any type of speech, language, or reading evaluation.
Our therapist will ask you questions about your:
- Family History
- Pre-natal History
- Physical Development
- History of hospitalization/injuries/illnesses
- Communication History
The more you are able to share with our therapist the better. The more our therapist knows about your child, the easier it is to for us to accurately diagnose and treat your child.
